Remembering Georgie

This Was Them is working with Georgie’s friends to collect and preserve your memories of her. These will be collated to create a beautiful book that will eventually be gifted to her children.

With your help the stories and memories we gather will help them feel more connected to their mum as they grow. One day, they might show the book to their own children and be able to say “this was your grandmother”.

This is not a book of condolence. This will be a celebration of who she was, how she was and why she was loved by so many. The book we will create together will be a tangible resource that will help keep her close to her boys.

There are two ways you can be part of the amazing project.

  1. Submit your stories in writing.
No story is too short to be included. Whether you submit a few lines or a few paragraphs, your contribution will be invaluable in helping Georgie’s children know more about her. You can find guidance on how best to write your stories here. Please use the form below to submit your content

  2. Alternatively, you can chose to have a 1-hour video interview.
This will feel like an informal chat, as we delve into your memories. Your contribution to the book will then be professionally written for you, and presented for sign off. You can find guidance on how to prepare for the interview here.

Photographs can also be included. Please either email to info@thiswasthem.co.uk, or send via WhatsApp to 07493 165 179.

The cost for each option is as follows:

Option 1 = £35

Option 2 = £135

Payment details will be sent to you either upon receipt of your content, or once you have booked your interview.

Thank you, for being part of this wonderful project.
